Abstract

[Also in Division H1] A base for electronic tubes comprises a metallic bottom 1 with a pumping tube 6, ceramic sleeves 2 through which are sealed conductive pins 3 joined as by soldering or crimping to insulated cables 5, and a prefabricated synthetic resin sleeve 7 held around each ceramic sleeve and pin on the base by a resin layer 8 and having a hardened filling 9 of the same resin. The resin may consist of epoxy compounds of the kind described in Specification 1,046,505, and may be loaded with ground quartz.
