Abstract

1,192,700. Clips; stud and socket fastenings. INSULOID MFG. CO. Ltd. 21 March, 1969 [6 April, 1968], No. 16677/68. Heading E2B. A clip comprising a cradle member 9 adapted for attachment to a base 6 and a ring 17 of elastic material for engagement with hook formations 16 at opposite ends of the cradle and in which the cradle member is moulded with an external tubular boss 11, is swivellably mounted upon an attachment member 5 moulded in a thermoplastic material, the ends of the attachment being inwardly directed at the side remote remote from the cradle member so that it can be slidably engaged with a previously fixed base strip of complementary cross section. As shown, a shallow boss 19 is formed at the inner side of the attachment member 5 for locating in one of a row of openings 18 and the base strip. As shown, the cradle 9 is swivellably mounted on a stud 14 integral with the member 5.
