Abstract
1,192,680. Automatic frequency control. ROHDE & SCHWARZ. 20 Dec., 1968 [21 Dec., 1967], No. 60606/68. Heading H3A. A frequency generator comprises an oscillator O whose frequency is controlled by a signal in a main loop R having a divider K, a mixer M1 and a phase comparator P. The mixer M1 and phase comparator P are also fed from reference oscillators 01, 02 each of which has its own control loop comprising a variable divider N1, N2, phase comparator P1, P2 and reference signal Fq 1 , Fq 2 . The output from oscillator 02 is fed to the phase comparator P via a further divider L. In a modification Fig. 6 (not shown), the control loop for oscillator 02 also includes a mixer stage (M2) fed from a further reference source (Fq 3 ). The oscillator 02 may be provided with means for disconnecting the loop so that it may be used as a variable oscillator.
