Abstract

1,192,619. Trimming. R. NAKAJIMA. 28 June, 1967 [27 Dec., 1966; 22 Feb., 1967], No. 29836/67. Heading B6G. A trimming for garments comprises a strip of backing material having a decorative outer surface and formed into a tube enclosing a soft, elastic padding. In Fig. 4, the tube consists of a strip of cloth with two plane longitudinal side portions a bounding a portion consisting of animal or synthetic fur b attached to the cloth strip, the strip being folded around a rod B of polyurethane foam to bring the side portions a into facing relationship and then sewn or glued together. The trimmings can be sewn by their side portions on the garment. In an alternative embodiment (Figs. 5 and 6, not shown) the padding consists of two rectangular crosssection rods of polyurethane. The decorative portion may be an inter-woven cloth of animal or synthetic fur and conventional textile material.
