Abstract
1,191,532. Roller blinds. G. HALL & CO. Ltd. 6 Feb., 1968 [14 March, 1967], No. 11825/67. Heading A4B. A roller blind 3 has an open ended, moulded plastics, bottom rail 1 in the upper portion 6 in which the blind 3 is retained by laths 5 or 4 secured to the blind and in which a depending trim strip 9 is secured in the lower portion 7 of the rail 1 by laths 11 or 10 secured to the strip 9. In one embodiment, Fig. 1, laths 5, 11 are secured respectively to the lower edge of the blind 3 and the upper edge of strip 9. In another embodiment, Fig 2, the blind 3 passes around a lath 4 in the upper portion 6 and then over an outer face 13 of the rail 1 to be retained by a lath 14 attached to the free edge 12 of the blind 3 in the lower portion 7. In a modification the blind 3 passes around the lath 14 and its free end passes out through a bottom slot 8 to provide the trim strip. In another modification of the arrangement of Fig. 2, the strip 9 passes around its retaining lath 10 and then out of the rail 1 to cover the outer face of the rail opposite the face 13 and to be finally secured to the blind lath 4.
