Abstract
1,190,056. Book file. W. F. PURSER. 27 July, 1967, No. 34617/67. Heading B6E. A book file comprises a rigid spine 3, 4, Fig. 1, and at least one associated stiff strip such as a wire or rod 9 carried or each carried by at least one end of the spine and extending along the spine for insertion between the leaves of an inserted book to hold it firmly to the spine. The two parts of the spine are connected together by screw means 10. In a modified file the rods 9 extend the length of the spine and are provided with finger grips 13, Fig. 3. In a further embodiment the rods 9 of Fig. 3 are constructed as headed pins passing through and located in the ribs 11 at both ends of the spine. Locking means may be provided at the rib 11 associated with the heads of the pins to prevent their displacement.
