Abstract

1,188,238. Exposure control in photographic cameras. PENTACON DRESDEN KAMERA-UND KINOWERKE VEB. Feb.22, 1968, No.8670/68. Heading G2A. A photographic camera includes a diaphragm setting system, Fig. 1, in which, after setting shutter time and film sensitivity by adjusting a resistor 13, movement of a release bar 4 moves a sleeve 3 to open a diaphragm 1, movement of the bar 4 altering the tapping point on an attenuator 15 to adjust the voltage on a photo-resistor 14, constantly exposed to the prevailing illumination, until a switching stage 12 is cut off, an electromagnet 8 is de-energized and an armature 7 released, this armature then engaging teeth 6 on sleeve 3 to lock the diaphragm at the required aperture. The system further includes Figs.2, 3 (not shown) circuits for lighting lamps, visible in the camera viewfinder, to indicate under-or over-exposure.
