1,185,392. Electrotherapeutic apparatus. E. J. DRAYTON. 7 May, 1968 [7 March, 1967], No. 10771/67. Heading A5R. An electrical muscle stimulator comprising cyclically operating switch means, suitably a cam 4 driven by a motor 2 operating switch contacts 5, by which alternating current is applied to the primary winding of a mains transformer 6 having a secondary winding feeding a rectifier 8 from which unidirectional current is fed to operate a multivibrator circuit 10 including the primary winding 13 of an output transformer 14, to a secondary winding 17 of which are arranged to be connected applicator means, suitably electrode means 24, whereby potentials developed in said secondary winding may be applied to a body surface.
