1,185,177. Brake pad and carrier. ALFRED TEVES G.m.b.H. 5 Sept., 1967 [28 Jan., 1967], No. 17333/69. Divided out of 1,185,175. Heading F2E. A brake pad 1 and brake pad carrier is formed as one integral unit manufactured from a rectangular block of friction pad material and has a step portion forming part of the carrier which has a riser part 2 provided with suspension eyelets 3 for use in mounting the brake pad and carrier in a disc brake assembly. The carrier may be strengthened by a steel strip frame 4.
