Abstract

1,185,139. Benzenesulphonyl - guanidinooxazoles. NORDMARK-WERKE G.m.b.H. 13 Feb., 1969, No. 7790/69. Heading C2C. Novel compound I is obtained by reacting an N<SP>1</SP>-benzenesulphonyl- N<SP>3</SP> cyano - guanidine, (X is an amino group or a group convertible thereto), with acetoin; N<SP>1</SP>-(p-acetamino-benzenesulphonyl) - N<SP>3</SP> - [4,5 - dimethyl - oxazolyl- (2)]-guanidine is obtained as an intermediate. Pharmaceutical preparations effective in treating infections of the gastro-intestinal tract contain as active ingredient compound I; administration is, e.g., in the form of tablets or as a juice.
