Abstract

1,184,159. Electric couplings. DIETER HENRICI, [trading as BROKELMANN, JAEGER & BUSSE K.G.]. 3 Dec., 1968 [20 Jan., 1968], No. 57296/68. Heading H2E. A terminal housing consists of a base of flexible plastics strip 11 to which is welded cover parts 10 having each in their interior at least one chamber 14 and a projection 15 depending from the roof for clamping and retaining screw-less contact elements with spring tongues (not shown). The projection also serves as an abutment for the connection end of the main conductor. The plastics strip is provided with fixing holes 12 and break-off recesses 13 so that terminal housings could be fixed on a common assembly strip and the desired number of housings could be broken from the strip. The flexible nature of the strip enables the assembled terminals to be rolled up. In another embodiment (Fig. 4, not shown), a projection having central and terminal sections (115), (116) is used.
