Abstract

1,182,266. Collapsible container. FISHER CONTAINERS Ltd. 23 Aug., 1967 [21 Oct., 1966], No. 47207/66. Heading B8P. A collapsible container has its sides 1-4 connected by strips 7, e.g. of tin-plate and a top 6 and bottom 5 each hinged at one edge to the front or rear sides and is characterized in that in the erected position one or each of the bottom and top panels is held by the engagement of at least one resilient strip 12, bendable out of the plane of the panel, in a slot, formed by a member 14, in one of the sides. The metal strip 12 has a longitudinally extending corrugation 13 which in the bent position forms a rounded corner. The various strips may be riveted or stitched to the box panels and the loaded and closed container may be bound by wires or strips.
