Abstract

1,181,578. Electro-chemical analysis. CESKOSLOVENSKA AKADEMIE VED. June 16, 1967 [June 24, 1966], No.28008/67. Heading G1N. The concentration of a substance in a fluid, gas or liquid, is measured coulometrically by passing the fluid together with an electrolyte successively through a line of chambers 1, 2, 3, 4, the last of which contains a reference electrode 8 and the others of which contain measuring electrodes 5, 6, 7, the chamber being connected for electrolytic conduction through porous diaphragms 9, 10, 11 and for fluid-flow through pipes 12, 13, 14. The measuring electrodes are connected in parallel in a circuit comprising a D.C. source and an ammeter. The diaphragms 9, 10, 11 may be of glass frit.
