Abstract

1,180,250. 1 (2,5 - Dioxo - 1 - pyrrolidino)- 4 - perhydroazepino) - but - 2 - yne. LABORATOIRES AUCLAIR. 28 Dec., 1967 [6 Jan., 1967], No. 58879/67. Heading C2C. The novel compound of formula and acid addition salts thereof are prepared by reaction of N-propargyl-succinimide and hexamethylenimine with formaldehyde or trioxymethylene optionally followed by salt formation. N - propargyl - succinimide is prepared by reaction of succinimide and a propargyl ester. Pharmaceutical compositions having an effect on the central nervous system particularly as an anticholinergenic agent and in conventional forms for oral or parenteral administration comprise an above novel compound or a salt thereof and one or more carriers or diluents.
