Abstract

1,179,134. Tool holders. GROSSDREHMASCHINENBAU " 8 MAI " VEB. 3 Aug., 1967, No. 35775/67. Heading B3T. An indexable multiple tool holder for a machine tool comprises an annular body 1 on which are secured a plurality of axially and radially oriented cutting tools in tool carriers 6 and 7 respectively the axial tool carriers being recessed to engage the end faces 1 and 1<SP>11</SP> of the holder body and the radial tool carriers being recessed to engage the inner and outer peripheral surfaces 1<SP>1111</SP> and I<SP>111</SP> of the holder body. The tool carriers are secured to the body by flanged members 4 located in bores 2 in the body and clamped by eccentric pins 5. Screw stops 9 on the tool carriers co-operate with respective abutments 10 on the holder body to permit adjustment of the tools on the body. The tool holders may be preset by gauge means away from the holder body and secured to the body in a preset condition.
