Abstract

1,177,355. Flexible ladders. A. KRUTH. 8 Feb., 1967 [9 Feb., 1966], No. 5962/67. Heading A6L. A collapsible ladder comprises frame-like members 2 each having an inturned portion 2<SP>1</SP> which forms a rung, the members 2 being interconnected by cables 1, 3. The ladder is collapsible by a cable 5 which can be wound up onto a winch 6, the members 2 being stacked in a deep hook on the end of the cable 5. In a modification, Fig. 5, some of the frame-like members 2B are partly filled in by platforms 4. Detachable platforms 10 (not shown) which completely fill in a frame-like member 2 are provided.
