Abstract

1,175,295. Discharging hoppers. SOC. ANON. DE MACHINES ELECTROSTATIQUES. 17 April, 1967 [18 April, 1966], No. 17591/67. Heading B8A. Resin powder is discharged from hopper 1 via discharge tube 4 and outlet 10 by screw 11 the discharge being assisted by air jet 9. Any air which flows backwards up through said tube 4 escapes via porous section 3. Accumulation of powder on the inside of conical section 6 is prevented by making the section porous and permitting the seeping therethrough of compressed air from pipe 18 via casing 7.
