Abstract

1,173,951. Bearings. KARL SCHMIDT G.m.b.H. 6 Feb., 1967 [15 March, 1966], No. 5630/67. Heading F2A. A plain bearing has a portion 2 displaced to form a triangular section lubricant pocket in the bearing surface. In Fig. 1 portion 2 of a thrust bearing is displaced to form pocket 3 and a projection with locating surfaces 4. In Figs. 4 and 6 (not shown) a displaced portion of a radial bearing has a convex and concave inner surface respectively. In Fig. 7 (not shown) a portion is bent outwardly to leave a gap for filling the pocket.
