Abstract

1,173,904. Music transposer device. N. WRIGHT. 16 May, 1967 [16 May, 1966], No. 21672/66. Heading G5X. A device in slide rule form for transposing musical scales consists of a base 1 having a longitudinal guide in which a slide 3 runs. In this slide is a longitudinal guide in which a second slide 5 runs. Along the edges of the guide on the base are marked evenly spaced divisions representing the chromatic scale over two octaves, scale C1 covering the " flat " keys and scale C4 the " sharp " keys. These scales are repeated on the first or transposer slide C2 and C3. The second slide is marked with the notation of the tonic solfa T 1 and T 2 . By setting the slides correctly in relation to each other transposition of notes can be carried out by direct reading.
