A jet fuel composition comprises a jet fuel having an end-point of at least 470‹ F. and an A.P.I, gravity of 35-58, ferrocene and/or a C 1 -C 10 alkyl-ferrocene and (a) a phenol of formula where R 1 and R 2 are C 1 -C 6 alkyl, R 3 is hydrogen, C 1 -C 6 alkyl, -CH 2 N(CH 3 ) 2 or with the proviso that when R 3 is hydrogen, methyl or ethyl, R 1 and R 2 are C 3 -C 6 alkyl and/or (b) a phenylene diamine of formula where each R may be hydrogen or C 1 -C 6 alkyl with the proviso that at least one R is alkyl.
