Abstract

1,169,244. Packages. NEEDLE INDUSTRIES Ltd. 16 Jan., 1968 [9 Feb., 1967], No. 6226/67. Heading B8C. A holder for articles such as needles comprises a substantially flat base member 30 (creased or scored at 31, 32, 33), a mounting member 34 thereon and adapted to hold one or more articles in assembled relation therewith, and a cover member 36 formed as a hollow shell made of a shape holding transparent plastics material presenting an open side towards the base member 30, the base member and cover being relatively movable between a closed position in which the mounting member is disposed within said hollow shell and an open position in which the mounting member is exposed externally of said hollow shell. Preferably the cover member and base member are hingedly assembled together so that they are partially separable but not detachable. A latching element 39 (Fig. 1, not shown) may be provided on the base member to co-operate with the cover member to hold it in a closed position and a readily rupturable seal may be initially provided between the base member and the cover. The mounting member is preferably as described in Specification 1,169,246 made by the method described in Specification 1,169,245.
