An epoxy resin composition suitable for encapsulating electrical components comprises a diglycidyl ether of hydroquinone cured by methyltetrahydrophthalic anhydride. The preferred isomer is cis-4-methyl-1,2,3,6-tetrahydrophthalic anhydride. A tertiary amine accelerator, e.g. tetramethyldiaminobenzophenone may also be present.
