Abstract
1,168,231. P.V.C. compositions. ELCO SOC. D'EXPLOITATION LESIEUR, COTELLE ET FOUCHER. 13 March, 1968, No. 12250/68. Addition to 998,456. Headings C3G, and C3P. A polymer composition comprises (A) P.V.C. or an internally plasticized P.V.C. and based on the weight of this resin, (B) 1-20% of an elastomeric copolymer of at least two of a polyene, a vinyl aromatic and a carboxy derivative of an ethylenically unsaturated acid, (C) 0À01-2% of a fatty acid salt, (D) 0À1- 5% of a carboxy derivative of an unsaturated amino acid and (E) 5-7% of an epoxidized ester of a fatty acid and a polyol and/or an ethoxyline resin. The components are all as described in Specification 998,456, except that the copolymer (B) used in the examples is a graft polymer of ethyl acrylate, and styrene on polybutadiene. The polymer (A) is P.V.C. or a mixture thereof with a terpolymer of vinyl chloride and octyl and decyl fumarates. Other ingredients are epoxidized soybean oil, ethoxyline resin, stearyl beta-aminocrotonate, calcium stearate, stearic acid, glycerol fatty acid esters and di-t-butyl hydroxytoluene.
