Abstract

1,167,982. Furniture joints. D. MAXWELL. 28 Feb., 1968 [28 Feb., 1967], No. 9542/67. Heading A4H. Square panels are connected together at their edges to form a box-like structure by a member 3 of uniform cross-section having at least two longitudinal slots 4 accommodating the edges of the panels 1 with inwardly directed lips 6 engaging grooves 7 in the surfaces of the panels. A back panel 2 is sprung into further grooves 8 in the panels 1. Each member may have two slots disposed at right angles or be T-shaped with three slots or have three equally angularly spaced slots. In the latter case the panels form hexagonal modules for lighting arrays and may be transparent or translucent.
