[Also in Division B4] A jig for attaching hinges to bi-folding doors 28, 30, Fig. 1, and for drilling pivot holes in the ends of the doors, comprises an A-frame 10, adjustable door supports 12, end drilling templates 16, 18, and adjustable hinge carrying templates 36. The hinges may be screwed to the doors whilst the latter are placed edge to edge, Fig. 1, or in a modification, the doors 54, 56, are placed face to face, Figs. 9, 10. Each template 36 comprises a recess 38, Fig. 6, in which a hinge is held by a pair of magnets 43, and the templates are releasably clamped to a rod 34, the templates having door spacers (44), Fig. 7 (not shown), and the end templates having end stops 48 secured thereto, Fig. 1. After the templates are adjusted to the required positions, screws are inserted through the hinges, the door 28 is then pivoted to the Fig. 3 position, wherein it is spaced from door 30 by pins 26, and then the pivot holes are drilled through bushes 52. In the Fig. 9, 10 embodiment stops 58 are vertically adjustable, and the doors are spaced by projections 72, 98. The hinge-carrying templates 90 have screw carrying jaws 102, and the holes for the screws are provided by a plurality of punches 108, which are actuated by striking the head 110 of a removable punch block 106 with a hammer. The pivot holes in this embodiment are provided by drilling through a jig (112), Fig. 11 (not shown), which is located on the corners of the doors.
