Abstract

1,164,918. Spray producers. COSTER TECNOLOGIE SPECIALI S.p.A. 15 Dec., 1967 [22 Dec., 1966], No. 57078/67. Heading B2F. A discharge button for mounting on the valve stem of a pressurised aerosol dispensing container comprises a nozzle member 6 pressfitted in a body member 5, and defining with member 5 chambers 8, 9 and 11 interconnected by passages 16 and 17, so that the material discharged from the container through valve stem 2 and aperture 13 undergoes three expansions in chambers 8, 9 and 11 before being discharged into the atmosphere through aperture 12, thereby improving atomisation. Alternative locations of passages 16 and 17 may be provided by grooves in nozzle member 6 and body member 5, Figs. 1, 3 and 4 (not shown).
