1,161,849. Curing epoxy resins. MERCK & CO. Inc. 4 Sept., 1967 [13 Sept., 1966], No. 40277/67. Heading C3B. A curable composition is obtained by intimately mixing: (1) 100 parts by weight of a compound containing more than one epoxy group per molecule, e.g. a diglycidyl ether of bisphenol-A; (2) 4-200 parts by weight of an anhydride curing agent, e.g. phthalic anhydride or methyl bicyclo[2,2,1]heptene- 2,3 - dicarboxylic anhydride; and (3) 0À1-30 parts by wt. of magnesium oxide, Curing may take place, e.g. at 105-160‹ C.
