1,161,638. Anti-inflammatory compositions. ENDO LABORATORIES Inc. 4 Oct., 1967 [6 Oct., 1966], No. 45317/67. Heading ASB. [Also in Division C2] . Anti-inflammatory compositions comprise a carrier and a compound of the formula wherein R 1 is H, lower alkyl, lower alkenyl, cycloalkyl having up to 6 C atoms, or benzyl, phenyl or benzoyl optionally substituted with lower alkyl or alkoxy groups; R 2 , R 3 and R 4 are H, lower alkyl, lower alkenyl, cycloalkyl having up to 6 C atoms, phenyl, phenyl-lower alkyl; halo-, lower alkoxy- or lower alkylsubstituted phenyl, and "Ar" is iphenyl, naphthyl, biphenyl or mono-, di- or tri-substituted phenyl, naphthyl or biphenyl in which the substituents are chosen from; hydroxy, lower alkoxy, lower alkyl, lower alkylene dioxy, phenoxy, nitro, halo, amino, lower alkanoyl amino, benzylidene amino, lower alkyl amino, di-Lower alkyl amino, di-lower alkyl amino-N- oxide, ureido, mercapto, lower alkyl thio, phenyl thio, halo-lower alkyl, lower alkanoyl, lower alkyl suphonyl, lower alkyl smilphinyl, sulphamyl, cyano, carboxamide, carbo-lower alkoxy and carboxhydrazide; the term "lower" signifying from, 1 to 4 C atoms. They may be in conventional forms for oral, parenteral and rectal administration.
