Apparatus for viewing stereoscopic pairs of pictures comprises a mirror V1 positioned at an angle, e.g 45 degrees, with respect to a first picture A and a second mirror V2 positioned in front of the mirror V1 and at a similar angle with respect to a second picture B so that superimposed virtual images of the pair A, B are formed in the same plane, the mirror V2 having alternating transparent and reflecting strips which permit a viewer to see portions of the picture A alternating with portions of the picture B.
