Abstract

1,160,383. Electromagnetic relays; vacuum switches. INTERNATIONAL STANDARD ELECTRIC CORP. 13 Jan.. 1967, No.1854/67. Heading H1N. A vacuum relay has fixed shielded contacts 21, 22 co-operating with a movable bridging contact 23 on an insulator rod 24 mounted by a spring 27 on an armature 28 which is retained in its knife edge bearing by a resilient biasing bracket 36. The knife edge (29) of the armature fits between angled parts 31, 32 of a flange plate 17, the tab 32 being recessed at 33 to receive a locating projection (34) of the armature. The bracket 36 engages in a slot 43 in the tab 32 and its other end 37 is bifurcated to pass around the rod 24 and engages in a notch 38 in the forward edge of the armature.
