Abstract

1,158,417. Transistor frequency dividing circuit. RESEARCH SOLINA A.G. 16 Nov., 1966, No. 51448/66. Heading H3T. A frequency divider comprises a transistor T having a resistance-capacitance emitter circuit and coupling between collector and emitter. The circuit is particularly suitable for use in electronic organs and provides pulses at U2 and sawteeth at U1 at a sub-multiple of the frequency of input pulses I. Input pulses are differentiated by C1, the negative differentiated pulses turning on transistor T, rapidly charging capacitor C2. Transistor T is cut-off at the end of the differentiated pulse, terminating the pulse at U2, the negative-going step being transferred by a capacitor C3 to the emitter circuit, thus helping to delay the discharge time of C2 until after one or more input pulses have elapsed.
