Abstract

1,156,767. Windscreen wipers. ROBERT BOSCH G.m.b.H. 24 May, 1968 [26 May, 1967], No. 24821/68. Heading A4F. A yoke assembly for attaching to a wiper arm a windscreen wiper rubber having a reinforcing spring strip includes at least one yoke 13 of channel form, the channel being closed over at least part of its length by strip material 34. The latter may be of plastics and of semi-circular channel section throughout lengths 44, 45 thereof at either side of a central frame-like portion 37 formed with a sleeve 42 for receiving a pin 16 (Fig. 6, not shown) joining the strip 34 to the yoke 13. A hook-shaped spring catch 17 (Fig. 1, not shown) is attached to the sleeve 42 for receiving the hook shaped end of a wiper arm. Channel shaped ends 21, 22 of the strip 34 are interposed between the ends of the yoke 13 and secondary yokes (not shown) attached thereto by rivets 56, and lessen the operating noise of the wiper.
