Abstract

1,156,057. Roller conveyers. MANNESMANN-MEER A.G. 12 May, 1967 [16 May, 1966], No. 22124/67. Heading B8A. In a three-way switch for a roller conveyer, a support bracket for a roller 6 comprising a pair of half-width rollers is mounted on a lever 7 pivotable at 11 by a lever 12. Two ropes or chains 8, 9 are fixed at C, E to the bracket for the roller 6 and at B, D to a bracket for a fixedlocation roller 2. Brackets 10 for rollers 16 are displaceable and have the flexible members 8, 9 attached to them. In the straight-ahead position of the switch the members 8, 9 are taut and stops 13 on the brackets of the rollers 6, 16 are clear of adjacent brackets. On operating the switch to the right for example, stops 13 on the inside of the curve to be taken up by the rollers 6, 16 engage adjacent brackets while the member 8 remains taut. A method for geometrically determining the distance of the members 8, 9 from the centre line of the switch is specified.
