Abstract

1,155,251. Shelving. BERTRAM THOMAS (ENGS.) Ltd. 26 March, 1968 [30 March, 1967], No. 14527/67. Heading A4B. A rack for supporting inclined shelves or trays 16 at an adjustable height includes corner posts 4, 6 with spaced slots 14 which receive the ends of forwardly and downwardly inclined shelf bearer arms 18 extending between front 4 and rear 6 posts, each arm 18 having a front and recess 24 with a stop surface 24b which bears flat on a wall 10 of a front post 4 in its operative position and the rear end of the arm 18 being dimensioned to permit rearward movement into a rear slot 14 to facilitate engagement and disengagement of the front end of the arm 18. Recesses 28, 30 are provided in the rear end. Each post 4, 6 includes two mutually perpendicular, adjacent walls 8, 10 and the slots 14 extend into both walls 8, 10 from their junction. The shelf 16 is supported on a flange 22 of the arm 18 with an upturned front end.
