Abstract

1,155,126. Supporting lamps. ALLOM HEFFER & CO. Ltd. 17 April, 1968 [24 April, 1967], No. 18853/67. Heading F4R. A device for suspending an electric light fitting in a ceiling comprises a stirrup 12 to which the fitting may be attached, a hollow base 11 secured to the stirrup and having at least one peripheral opening 21, and at least one clip 25 which when compressed can be inserted into the opening through a wider head portion 23 thereof and when expanded will engage the opposite ends of the opening. In use the clip is embedded in the plaster of the ceiling or rests on the upper surface thereof.
