Abstract

1,154,657. Shovelling machines. DEERE & CO. 20 March, 1967 [21 March, 1966], No. 12970/67. Heading E1F. The boom of a backhoe shovel assembly is pivotally mounted by a shoe 49 on a support (50) for rotation about an axis 48, which is substantially upright when the support (50) is, in use of the assembly, mounted on a vehicle, by a then substantially horizontally extending ram-linkage assembly 67, 70 pivotally secured between the shoe 49 and the support (50). The support 50 is slidable as a whole along a frame 16 and is lockable to the frame at various positions therealong. The frame 16 is securable to a vehicle so as to be positioned transversely to the direction of advance of the vehicle.
