[Also in Divisions B4 and B8] An adjustable ingot mould for continuous casting, in which two narrow plates 21, 22 are clamped adjustably between two wide plates 19, 20 is provided with an adjustment apparatus that is positioned in the ingot mould and comprises hydraulic jacks 3 that repel a pair of shoes 2 that engage and move the two narrow plates 21, 22 to their adjusted position. This position is preset in the adjustment apparatus by tierods and adjusting nuts and may provide for converging of the narrow sides 21, 22. The adjustment apparatus is held relative to the ingot mould by dowels 14 engaging in lugs and between projections provided either in the ingot mould or in its supporting frame.
