Abstract

1,150,183. Pile driving. P. E. JOHANSSON- 1 May, 1967 [13 May, 1966], No. 20024/67. Heading E1H. A stand 1 for use as part of a pile driving crane comprises a section 6 displaceable telescopically in a section 5 and pile gripping means 19 for raising and keeping the pile in vertical position is attached to the section 6 and comprises a rotatable disc 20 provided with two gripping arms 22, 23 movable to and from each other. In the embodiment described the gripping arms are operated hydraulically and the movable section 6 is operated by cog-wheels 28, 29 driven by motors 26, 27.
