Abstract
1,144,141. Laminated film having extensible properties. NATIONAL DISTILLERS & CHEMICAL CORP. 17 Feb., 1966 [1 March, 1965], No. 7079/66. Headings B5B and B5N. A thermoplastic film having a high order of extensibility in any direction consists of an inner layer of a copolymer of ethylene and vinyl acetate containing 10 to 27% of vinyl acetate with outer layers of polypropylene laminated thereto, e.g. by extrusion. Preferably the inner layer occupies from 20 to 40% of the total thickness, a typical laminate having all three layers of 12À5 microns. The film may vary in thickness from 5 to 250 microns.
