Abstract

1,143,105. Crash barriers. G. MOSCHETTINI. 24 March, 1966 [25 March, 1965; 30 Sept., 1965], No. 12942/66. Heading E1G. In a crash barrier, the guard rail is supported from vertical ground engaging posts by an intermediate member attached to at least two posts, to produce substantially uniform impact resistance along the guard rail. The intermediate member may be curved with the guard rail secured at the apex of the curve midway between the posts. In other embodiments the intermediate members may be arranged rectilinearly or polygonally and a support for the guard rail may rest on the ground.
