Abstract

1,141,128. Fuses. CAPELIN. 22 March, 1967 [30 March, 1966], No. 13503/67. Heading H2G. The hollow body 2 of a fuse carrier comprises a resiliently mounted contact 5a and another contact 8 which is elongated and terminates in a shaped resilient split ring 10a the extreme peripheral surface of which abuts a shoulder 2a on the body, the fuse carrier including the fusecarrying plug 11 which screws on to body 2, the body being adapted to be mounted on a wall. The plug 11 mounts a split metal resilient cylindrical sleeve 12 held by a washer 13 bearing on the collar 12b, but rotational movement of the sleeve being possible. The condition of the fuse may be observed at 14. A cartridge-type fuse is used. A sinuous metal ring (15) and washer (16), (Fig. 3, not shown) clamp the assembly in a wall. In a modification (Fig. 5, not shown), a pivotally-mounted spring-urged cover (19) is provided.
