A moulded elastomeric or synthetic resin flooring tile has a tread surface including two sets of parallel rows I and II of diamond or figure eight shaped embossments 2<SP>1</SP> and 2<SP>11</SP>, the edges 3 of the embossments being chamfered. The lower surface has keys to act as anchorage elements when laying the tiles.
