Abstract
1,140,398. Rubidium silver iodide, ammonium silver iodide. NATIONAL RESEARCH DEVELOPMENT CORP. 29 Aug., 1967 [30 Aug., 1966], No. 38723/66. Heading C1A. Materials of the formula X Ag 4 I 5 where X represents rubidium or ammonium may be prepared by melting the compound XI with an appropriate molar excess of silver iodide. Mixtures of the given materials and mixtures of the rubidium compound with the corresponding potassium compound may be prepared. The materials are said to have exceptional ionic conductivity, and the properties of the two materials are given.
