Abstract

1,137,871. Cabinets; preventing theft from tills &c. KILLBY & GAYFORD Ltd., and G. W. BOGGIS. 11 Nov., 1966 [12 Nov., 1965; 15 July, 1966], Nos. 48205/65 and 31978/66. Headings A4B and A4T. A cabinet comprises a unitary, laminated element 1 forming the back and side walls, top 2 and bottom (3) plates secured to the element 1 and an open front frame 13-16 mounted on the open front of the element 1. The cabinet is fitted with drawers and/or shelves and may be open fronted or fitted with hinged 24, 25 or sliding doors. The cabinet may have ground wheels to facilitate removable positioning beneath a bank counter top fitted with a guide frame (32, Fig. 5 of the Provisional Specification 31978/66) to receive a top frame (30) of the cabinet. The back of the cabinet carries electrical contacts (37, Fig. 7) which automatically engage plugs (36, Fig. 6) carried by the frame (32) when the cabinet is fully run into the frame (32) to place a drawing locking device (34, Fig. 5), as described in Specification 1,137,872, in an alarm circuit.
