Abstract

1,136,869. Electrolytic cells. ALBRIGHT & WILSON Ltd. Dec.1, 1967, No.54773/67. Addition to 1, 056, 889. Heading C7B. The apparatus of Specification 1,056, 889 is modified in that the anode portions of the electrodes are formed of titanium coated with Ru, Pd, Rh, Ir or Os or an alloy of at least one of these metals with another of these metals or with Pt. The cathode portions of the electrodes may be of Cu, Fe or steel and are butt-jointed to the anode along adjacent edges by brazing, welding, soldering or connected by compressing or overlapping the edges.
