A scraper 2 of a single-chain type scraper conveyer is recessed to engage a horizontal link 4, and is held in the recess by a link 11 secured by bolts a, b. The scraper chain is thus unbroken, and two scrapers may be carried on adjacent horizontal links of the chain as shown. The clearance between the link 4 and the scraper is less than that between each adjacent vertical link and the scraper.
