A lattice girder for use in a ribbed reinforced concrete floor comprises a lower boom 4 of timber or concrete, to which is fixed, or in which is cast the lower portions of a metal latticework comprising longitudinal reinforcing bars 1,3, welded to transverse bars 2 which are formed into a an inverted channel shape, preferably by pressing. The latticework may be stapled to the boom; with the ends of the staples bent flat against the underside of the boom. The transverse bars 2 are preferably pressed down through 60‹.
