Abstract

1,129,386. Suction lifting heads. J. LIPPERT [trading as MASCHINEN-UND STAHIBAU JALIUS LIPPERT]. 21 Nov., 1966 [19 Nov., 1965], No. 52033/66. Headings B8A and B8H. Fragile articles, e.g. plates 15, Fig. 1, are lowered into a suction lifting device 14 by a device 17, 18, turned through 180 degrees by an arm 10 pivoted at 12 and deposited on an endless conveyer 16. The suction lifting device, Fig. 2, comprises a load engaging face, 5, 6, which is connectable to a source of reduced pressure by a flexible conduit 8. The face 5, 6 is supported by a bellows 4 which is connectable to a source of reduced pressure by a pipe 2. The suction head 14 is housed in a box 13. The device 17, Fig. 1, may be a similar suction lifting device and is slidably supported on an overhead rail 20 by a bracket 19.
