Abstract

1,129,334. Substituted #-amino-#-alkoxy acrylates. EASTMAN KODAK CO. 7 Oct., 1965 [7 Oct., 1964], No. 22293/68. Divided out of 1,129,333. Heading C2C. The invention comprises substituted #- amino-#-alkoxy-acrylates of the formula wherein R 1 is an alkyl or optionally substituted aryl group, R 2 is hydrogen or an alkyl, aryl or heterocyclic group and R 3 and R 4 are each alkyl groups. The compounds are prepared by reacting an amine HN(R 1 )R 2 with a #-dialkoxyacrylate (R 3 O) 2 =CH-CO-OR 4 , the two R 3 groups being the same or different. The reaction is preferably effected at 30-200‹ C. in a liquid reaction medium employing a molar excess of the amine. Examples relate to the preparation of compounds in which R is substituted by cyano, fluorosulphonyl, sulphamoyl and/or chloro groups.
