Abstract

1,128,634. Continuous envelopes. UARCO Inc. 25 Aug., 1966 [17 Jan., 1966], No. 38117/66. Heading B6A. A continuous assembly of envelopes and preprinted enclosures is formed by overlapping marginally perforated plies 22, 24, Fig. 3, constituting front and back walls of the envelopes, providing one of the plies 24 with adhesive lines 32 which extend along one longitudinal edge 24b and transversely between slots 20, in a pre-printed web 18 sandwiched between the plies 22, 24 and aligned therewith by means of perforations 14, and then cutting off the marginal portion 12 of the web 18 to form separate pre-printed enclosures 22a, Fig. 4, which are located in pockets formed by adhesion of the plies 22, 24 which are provided with further adhesive lines 32a, 34 to form the continuous envelope assembly from which the envelopes are detached along transverse weakening or frangible lines 40. Opening of detached envlopes is facilitated by provision of lines of weakening 38 and a finger tab 36.
